House of Willow Alexander

The House · Design

Design by the House.

Rooms, gardens, and the quiet work of making a home feel properly known. Begin with a conversation through HoWA: we learn the home, the brief, the budget, the rhythm of the household and the feeling you are trying to create, then guide you towards the right design route.

Considered. Connected. Filed to the record.

Every project, through a House-Approved studio.

The circle

A small design world, growing carefully.

The House does not operate as an open directory of designers. We work with our own garden design studio and a small number of House Approved design partners, chosen for taste, care, communication and the ability to leave a home better understood than they found it. At launch, design begins through two clear routes: Willow Alexander Gardens for gardens and outdoor spaces, and Delve Interiors for considered interiors. More designers and makers will be invited into the House Approved circle as the standard proves itself.

How design begins

Two live routes. One growing circle.

Design begins with what is real: our garden studio, our first interiors partner, and HoWA's design intelligence layer. The wider House Approved design circle will grow slowly, not to fill a directory, but to protect the standard.

House Approved

The seal means four things.

  • 01.Chosen for taste, care and communication.
  • 02.Judged on whether they leave a home better understood than they found it.
  • 03.Held to the test we set ourselves: would we trust this in a home we love?
  • 04.Invited into the House Approved circle by standard, not by volume.

How a commission works

Brief to handover.

  1. 01

    Brief

We listen to how you live in the rooms and the garden.

  2. 02

    Moodboard

A direction to react to before anything is committed.

  3. 03

    Quote

    Clear costs, scope and timing.

  4. 04

    Sample

Finishes, paint, planting, seen before they are ordered.

  5. 05

    Handover

The finished space, written to your Home Record.

The Design Record

Every brief, drawing, supplier, finish, paint reference, planting scheme, warranty and aftercare note is saved to your Home Record, so the house remembers how it was made long after the studio leaves.

Commission a space

A room. A garden.
A whole house, properly read.
