Willow Alexander Gardens is the design practice the House originally grew out of. It runs full landscape commissions — from concept through build to planting — and the seasonal management that keeps the finished thing looking like it was always there.
The studio also underwrites the Gardening service operationally: the same team that designs gardens is the team that quietly looks after them.

Before you commission, some questions.
Do you build the gardens, or only design them?
Both. The studio designs and builds, so the garden you are shown is the garden you get, delivered by one team from plan to planting.
Where do you work?
Across London and the South East, with most gardens in Kent and south London. If you are nearby, ask.
How long does a garden take?
A design takes a few weeks; a build runs from a few weeks to a few months depending on scale, levels and groundwork. You will have a realistic programme before anything begins.
What does a garden cost?
It depends on size, changes in level and materials. We give an honest range at the first visit and a fixed quote once the design is settled.
Will it be a lot of upkeep?
Only as much as you want. We plant for the maintenance you are happy to give, and the garden can be looked after through House services once it is in.
